School-Based Health Center Overview The Forest Grove School-Based Health Center serves all students and staff in the Forest Grove, Banks and Gaston school districts. The center is operated by Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center and is staffed by a nurse practitioner, physician's assistant, mental health specialist and office assistant. A variety of services are offered, including:
A $476,000 Community Development Block grant was used to purchase a new modular building that was custom designed as a health center. |

Forest Grove School District worked with a long list of partners over the last two years to start the center. Primary partners, in addition to Virginia Garcia, include Tuality Healthcare, Washington County Commission on Children and Families, the cities of Forest Grove and Cornelius, and the Washington County Health Department.
