Summit on Education
Summit dates: Jan. 18, Jan. 25, Feb. 1, Feb. 8 and Mar. 8, 2011
Forest Grove School District is convening a Summit on Education that will begin in January and extend over five meetings. 102 community members have signed up to participate. The group represents a broad cross section of the community and includes parents, students, staff, business leaders and others. The goals of the Summit Team are:

- To gain a better understanding of our role in preparing students to compete in the 21st Century;
- To recommend educational priorities, and;
- To offer creative solutions to balancing the district's budget. The recommendations from the Summit Team will be advisory to the administration as it shapes the budget for the next biennium. Summit Team participants
