Parent Academy Parent Academy Flyer - English / Spanish Research confirms that family involvement is a powerful influence on children's achievement in school. When parents are involved in their children's education, children earn higher grades and receive higher scores on tests, attend school more regularly, complete more homework, demonstrate more positive attitudes and behaviors, graduate from high school at higher rates, and are more likely to enroll in higher education than students with less involved families. Through Parent Academy, we will provide the opportunities and support parents need to become more involved in their children's education. We understand the importance of schools and parents working together in this important endeavour. Parent Academy Workshop Forest Grove School District is sponsoring a half-day Parent Academy Workshop on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Joseph Gale Elementary School.
